The bank faced humongous challenge of timely dissemination of information and
communication of policies and procedures amongst its mammoth employee base and
also what lacked was a forum for a two way communication between the bank and
its employees. State Bank Times - the bank's Intranet portal will cater to all
categories of employees from chairman to messenger across the bank from
corporate centre to branches spread across the country as well as abroad. The
challenge faced by the implementing team was of content management. As the
bank's corporate centres were spread across the country, the team had to contact
and persuade each department for providing their inputs for the portal
development. Now, over time and with continuous development, the portal gets
about 28.50 lacs hits on an average per day and over time has become the most
visited and trusted interactive site for information, updation of knowledge,
idea sharing and blogging, and thus brings out the creative talents of the
employees.
