Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery

There were several things we liked about this product. We tried it out on an

ordinary P4 machine with 512 MB RAM and 80 GB HDD. We first created two

different partitions on the HDD and copied a folder containing 1 GB of files of

various formats on it. We then deleted this folder and ran a Standard Scan on

it. The software showed all deleted files and recovered them in 3 min 45 secs

flat. We then formatted the second partition. To recover this, we had to run the

'Advance Scan' option, after which it again managed to recover all files. This

time also, it recovered the data swiftly in just 4 min 22 sec. We then deleted a

partition and recreated it. Moreover, we even changed the file system from FAT

to NTFS. Once again, the software managed to recover all lost files. We then

took a crashed hard drive, and to ensure it gets bad sectors, we dropped it from

from a height of about 2 meters. Thankfully the drive still worked, so we

formatted it and then used this utility. Once again, the software managed to

recover all data.
