The Problem: Sterlite Technologies was using a mix of Lotus Notes and Qmail servers for mailing purposes. These were spread across ten different locations and were managed by dedicated people.

The major disadvantages of this system were cost disadvantage, no unified directory, no common address book, no use of value added collaboration features like instant messaging, calendaring and scheduling.

Sterlite Technologies was growing exponentially geographically and needed to bring employees of different locations together onto a common platform.

The Solution: They opted for cloud based mailing. This mailing system was uniform across 12 large locations & around 1200 employees spread all over the world. They got rid of the old mailing servers and saved on cost of maintaining hardware, cost of taking backups.

The Result: Compared to 7-8 persons managing mail servers, now, only one person is able to manage the entire mail administration along with other activities. All the employees are on a common platform now, in addition to the anytime, anywhere mailing system.
