Situation MphasiS delivers global infrastructure technology outsourcing which supports G1000 companies around the world in the improvement of their business processes. Mphasis had a lot of end-of-life server hardware which had to be phased out. Also, we wanted to explore how we could consolidate their infrastructure server environments. Managing the hardware and software for this environment was a huge challenge. MphasiS opted for Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008, Datacenter Edition for its infrastructure servers at Bangalore. The implementation has brought in significant reduction in capital expenditure. MphasiS now has its entire setup running on 29 infrastructure servers virtualized on Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008. |
