Talash is an advanced search
utility that can retrieve information not only from your hard drive, but
also from the Internet, intranet or your network. It’s an Integrated
Search Center with three different kinds of search facilities–Find on
Internet, Find by Content and Find by File names

The utility has an advanced
indexing option, using which you can index files of all types on your
machine.

The Web search in the program
is pretty good, and you can query for a keyword from multiple search engines
simultaneously. You can also create your own group of different Websites to
search from.

To search your hard disk, you
can either enter the file name or even a keyword from the file, if you don’t
remember the name of your file. The search results fetch all files on
the hard disk that match your search criterion, irrespective of the file
format.

tBar–a unique feature of
Talash–helps you search without having to open another window.

The product will be launched
shortly by Talash Technologies, a Mangalore-based company. A beta of the
program is available for free download from www.italash. com.
