New Update
Terminator Fatality

Mortal Kombat is the OG video game that dared to depict blood and gore on screen. When it was first released it met with a lot of criticism for the violent nature of the game, especially the fatalities. Mortal Kombat is the reason we now have ESRB after it was routinely panned by politicians. But now years later it has become one of the most played fighting series because of all the gore and fatalities.

The latest iteration, Mortal Kombat 11 has dozens of characters, and more are incoming with the new DLC. And Terminator is one of them. The character looks like Arnold Schwarzneggar but is not voiced by him. The gameplay video was released by NetherRealm Studios a couple of days ago and it is hilarious and brutal at the same time. It features the fight between the two Cyborgs, nay, between a Cyborg and a Cybernetically enhanced human, as Jax put it. There are various references to the movie like the Time Sphere when T-800 enters the match. My favorite part is when the Terminator says “Get ova hea” (taken from the famous “Get over here” line by Scorpion) with the heavy Austrian accent.

The gameplay shows the various combos of T-800 and his arsenal of weapons. The T-800 also has a teleportation skill as we can see. The video also shows one of the fatalities of the Terminator where hi teleports one half of Jax’s body to the future where he is killed by a Cyborg, leaving a hole as large in the chest as is my existential void.

The Terminator’s other Fatality is in this video below. You can skip to 3:35 to view it. It features his iconic motorbike and his shotgun shredding Nightwolf to pieces.

Terminator will be released to Mortal Kombat 11 on October 8.
