Faraday Future FF 91

The future of electric car was in doldrums but Tesla changed everything when it released the Model S and rival automakers had no choice but to embrace the electric cars.

There are some truly exciting cars in the pipeline but in terms of innovation, nothing comes close to Faraday Future FF 91.

The company wowed the audience at CES 2017 when it finally unveiled its first production car. Faraday Future’s FF 91 is scheduled to enter production next year. It has collaborated with leeco, a global internet company that seamlessly blends devices, contents, and applications into an ecosystem. The FF 91 has ‘FF ecosystem’, which enables occupants to access apps and content, whilst learning their preferences to offer a smarter, more personalized experience over time. On the security front, the faraday future ‘FF 91’ has enhanced 10 high definition cameras, 13 long and short range radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors to quickly extract data and correct driving decisions.

Ford Alexa integration

Ford had announced Alexa integration at CES 2016 and this year it was finally rolled out. Ford SYNC 3 AppLink puts everything Alexa has to offer at a driver’s fingertips. It will also allow people to start their car, lock and unlock the car, and even check fuel levels using Alexa commands with any compatible Amazon or third-party device.

Alexa offers a seemingly endless range of functionality and electronics companies are eager to tap into this ecosystem rather than building their own voice-powered assistant solutions.

LG Signature OLED TV W7

LG’s new Signature OLED TV W7 television is just 2.59 mm thick. The W7 OLED TV’s display is a completely stand-alone single large screen with no other components attached directly to it.

This stunning next-generation television packs 4K Ultra HD resolution and HDR into a razor-thin panel. The soundbar that comes with the W7 TV supports advanced Dolby Atmos surround sound and comes with two self-retracting/rising speakers.

There is no doubt that this futuristic design will reshape the way we watch TV.

Samsung Chromebook Plus

Samsung announced the Samsung Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro; the latest generation of its Chromebooks that pairs the power and productivity of a laptop with the flexibility and versatility of a tablet. Samsung and Google partnered to design this next generation Chromebook and users can access all the apps, movies, books and music from Google Play. The new Samsung Chromebooks also offer a 360-degree rotating touchscreen, quad HD screen, built-in digitized pen and new lightweight metal design.

The 12.3-inch touchscreen display has a support for a built-in S Pen stylus. The new Chromebooks have 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and feature batteries that last up to 8 hours.

Samsung is taking preorders right now, and the Chromebook Plus will start shipping from the first week of February.

Energous

Energous is the developer of WattUp – a wire-free charging technology that will be licensed to companies to embed within consumer products.

The company claims that its WattUp devices will be able to “seamlessly transition from being charged by small, contact-based, portable transmitters, to forthcoming larger transmitters that offer charging at-a-distance of up to 15 feet (4.6m).

This technology is capable of powering portable devices and the Internet of Things ecosystem instead of requiring a USB cable or replaceable battery.
