Minecraft is the most popular game in the world and that is just a fact. More than Among Us, League of Legends, or even Fortnite it is Minecraft that rules twitch, youtube gaming, and Facebook gaming when it comes to view counts and there is hardly any game streamer that hasn't played this game. From Pewdiepie to xQc everyone plays Minecraft. If you are confused as to why this sandbox game from 2009 with graphics from 1999 is so big then you haven't seen the potential of Minecraft Mods.

Everyday someone somewhere in the world comes out with their own Minecraft mods and keeps the content in-game fresh and engaging for the players. Most of the popular mods will have a guide with them but if there is a niche mod that you're after then here's how you do it.

How to Install Minecraft Mods?

To start with, you need the Minecraft Java edition to install mods. Sadly, Minecraft Mods don't work on Android or on Minecraft bedrock edition. So if you have the Minecraft Java edition then you're in a whole lotta luck cause the first thing you'll need is Java. Let's start.

  1. First, download Java on your PC from the link here.
  2. Now with the Java part sorted you'll need to download Forge from here. Remember to get the Forge that matches the server edition.
  3. Now with both Java and Forge installed you need to find the Minecraft mods that you want and download them.
  4. Downloaded the Minecraft mods? Now just place the mod files in the Minecraft folder. If there is no folder then make one.
  5. Done with all the steps? Now, remember to change the Minecraft build to match Forge build.
  6.  To open Minecraft now you'll need to start Java first and then launch Minecraft.
  7. Once that is set, the modded Minecraft world is ready to go.
