Xiaomi, Vivo spin-off iQOO, and Samsung are ushering in the new year 2023 with some significant product debuts. While Xiaomi prepares its low-cost Redmi Note 12 5G series, iQOO aims for the stars with its high-end flagship phone, the iQOO 11 5G. Meanwhile, Samsung is starting things off with a low-cost smartphone named the Galaxy F04, but there may be more surprises down the road—we'll see. On a similar note, OnePlus is preparing the OnePlus 11, which will be released in India on 7 February following its official China unveiling on 4 January.

The iQOO 11

  • The iQOO 11 boasts a 6.78-inch 1440p E6 AMOLED display with LTPO 4.0 technology and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
  • Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU combines up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of UFS4.0 storage.
  • The phone comes pre-installed with Android 13.
  • The iQOO 11 sports a 50MP primary (Samsung GN5), 13MP portrait, and 8MP ultrawide camera for photography.
  • The smartphone includes a 16MP selfie camera on the front.
  • A 5,000mAh battery with 120W rapid wired charging completes the set.

On 10 January, iQOO 11 will be released in India.

The Redmi Note 12 series

In China, the Redmi Note 12 series has four versions, but Xiaomi is sending only three to India now. The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 are the models.

  • The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus will be the most expensive, featuring a 200MP primary camera and capability for 120W fast charging.
  • The Redmi Note 12 Pro is nearly identical to the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, although it has a slightly reduced 50 MP primary camera and 67W fast charging.
  • The Redmi Note 12 is the least expensive of the bunch. All four smartphones are capable of a 5G connection.
  • In terms of basic specifications, all three phones share the same display: a 6.67-inch OLED with 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
  • The Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro Plus are powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 1080 processor, while the Redmi Note 12 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 1.
