Transpek bought Orion ERP from the channel partner of 3i Infotech in the year

2005 and were struggling since then to use the system and get the desired

result. They had tried three times to implementing the same but weren't

successful in making it online. Users were still using the parallel system for

maintaining the records because of non-conformance of the ERP System. The Orion

ERP bought by customers was of old version of 2005 and there were a lot of

enhancement happening in the product. Also the user team wasn't sure of the MIS

Report from the system.

In 2009, Transpek was planning to discontinue the product and replace it with

SAP, during which TRU Care was approached. They assured successful

re-implementation of Orion ERP and canceled the need to replace the existing

system with SAP. The implementation was done for the modules of Sales, Purchase

(Local and Export), Finance and Inventory. Change management from the old system

to new one was a key challenge faced by the TRU Care team.

The Overall Impact has been better control and better processes put up in place.

The information is realtime versus lag of 4 days for the compilation of the

reports. Project has benefited all the business divisions of the company, from

the data entry users, supervisor, middle management and the Board of Directors.
