Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2014

Internet security suites have set of protection features which are the superclass of a standard antivirus suite. Trend Micro has those extra features that you would expect of a product that goes beyond basic antivirus functionality. Some of them are system tuner, rescue disk, social network protection, data theft protection, 2 GB online backup and secure erase. And in case of regular features, Trend Micro has got antivirus, antispyware, website

advisor, email scanning, a firewall and application protection. 

The installation is hassle free and it takes about 2 minutes to complete the installation. The Titanium Internet Security suite has a clean and easy-to-understand interface. Five major tabs are there at the top, which are further subdivided into more components. These tabs are Overview, PC/Mobile, Privacy, Data and Family. One notable thing about Trend Micro is that as soon as the installation is complete, the Titanium IS is quick enough to get on with the job of threat detection and removal. The security suite took 55 minutes to scan our 250 MB test folder containing 27,000 files, which is quite fast. The software consumed about 25 MB memory during the scan, which is slightly high.

In EICAR test, its performance was exactly similar to that of Norton, where it didn't stop the double compressed file from downloading but when scanned

separately, the software detected and removed the virus. Again, in zero day malicious websites test, 23/25 websites were blocked from opening, which is a very good number.
