Players of Valorant grind for hours upon hours to keep increasing their rank. Over time you will keep progressing through the ranks in the early stages but even that has a limit. Like most things in this world, just trying to push past your limits isn't enough. You need to keep evolving your gameplay and your settings to match with it. As you keep progressing through ranks in Valorant you will encounter even better players. These are the same players who keep tweaking their settings all the time.

Even within a match sometimes you might need to make some changes for getting better control of the crosshair. However, the one major mistake players make is just leaving their Valorant sensitivity settings just static after playing around with it maybe once. The good news is that you can use this Valorant sensitivity and aim guide to help you make the changes that are necessary to improve your aim.

Wrist Aim vs Arm Aim

Aiming in Valorant or for that matter in any FPS game is depended on the amount of area you have to move your mouse around. For better aim and control we recommend players to practice arm aiming. Especially when it comes to Valorant, arm aiming gives far better control of the crosshair. Wrist aiming is not the ideal method to aim but many players don't have a lot of surface area to move their mouse around. However, players who wrist aim and play for hours do suffer from wrist pains. Bear that in mind since the way to move your mouse around is just the tip of the iceberg.

Sensitivity Settings

Now that we are done with the mouse part let's move to the sensitivity settings of Valorant. Most players who start getting conscious of their aim in Valorant will just copy the settings of their favorite pro player or maybe tweak it just a little by themselves. That is an extremely wrong way of doing anything in any game. Now here's how you're supposed to do it.

Enter practice mode and start shooting at bots but your crosshair is supposed to come to the center after each bot is killed. Simply put, you need to keep flicking the crosshair in the center as you keep shooting to your left or right. Now see how far your crosshair deviates from the center of the screen. If you are overshooting from the center of the screen then you need to decrease your sensitivity. Reverse the same if you are undershooting.

Some Basics to Learn

Now that we have covered the most basics of the aim, let's move to the in-game sensitivity. This mostly has to do with the movement of the mouse and what you see on your screen in Valorant. Firstly, make sure that you can rotate 180 degrees in the game with one mouse swipe. It is pretty obvious that if your rotation is taking more than one swipe you are already playing the game wrong.

Another thing that you should keep in mind is to keep the sensitivity settings in Valorant in check. What this means is that if your aim jitters a little when you lock on a target then just lower them by a very minuscule amount. Keep lowering it little by little until you start seeing smooth aim.

This concludes our Valorant Aim and Sensitivity guide. This by no means will give you a perfect aim since that is a skill, not a tip. What you can do with this guide is to start your journey of climbing the ranks in Valorant without getting stuck in a rut. Keep evolving and keep clutching.
