Q- Can RAM with different speeds (in terms of MHz) work as one in a laptop or desktop PC?

No, it’s always advisable to use same speed of RAM, else the higher capacity RAM will merge with the lower one and then your higher speed will be of no use. Also, both RAM should run at the same voltage, else it might be possible they do not support your PC.
