MS Azure Leads Seven Cloud Computing Platforms

Microsoft Azure tops the Users' Choice Club in the 100-499 segment. It is followed closely by Amazon EC2 in the second position, which in turn is closely followed by IBM Smart Cloud. In the 500-999 employee segment Microsoft Azure again turns the tables on its contemporaries.

Microsoft users are the most satisfied with their offering scoring 4.8/5 followed by Amazon EC2 at 4.3. In the 500-999 segment IBM Smart Cloud comes up trumps scoring 4.4.

We checked the various reasons why people were satisfied with the brands they were using. In the 100-499 employee segment all the Oracle on Demand users have gone for it because of its product reliability. 75% of Amazon EC2 and Microsoft Azure users each have also done likewise. In the 500-999 segment all of those owning Oracle on Demand do so for its brand name while 71% of those Vmware vCloud do so for its better quality of service.

Next we asked people the reasons why they'll pick a brand in future. In the 100-499 segment all the users who're likely to purchase EMC Atmos and MS Office 365 quoted their brand names as the reason. Again all the users who're likely to purchase Salesforce.com shall do so because of its product reliability. In the 500-999 segment 100% of the users who're likely to purchase Oracle on Demand cited brand value as the reason while 67% of those likely to buy HP Cloud Assure cited quality of product as the reason.

Another domain where customer loyalties seem unflinching-All the users in both 100-499 and 500-999 employee segments plan to stick to their current brands and have no immediate plans to switch to others. This is perhaps the only category where all brands enjoy 100% loyalty among their existing users.
