Oracle trails SAP far behind. However, Oracle’s E-Business Suite brand seems to have a very good top of mind recall across categories.

No surprise here with mySAP ERP winning by a wide margin in terms of top of mind recall and ownership. All the three brands of Oracle - E-Business Suite, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and PeopleSoft Human Resources seem to be popular in the 500-999 employees segment. with E-Business Suite having highest ownership and brand recall. Ramco Enterprise Series trails Oracle PeopleSoft by a narrow margin in large enterprise category.

Two years back, none of the HRM brands managed to secure top spot in small enterprise category because it was dominated by local or inhouse brands. However, the scenario has changed completely with brands like mySAP ERP being used increasingly across both survey segments.

For SAP, it's brand name that got the highest votes by users while quality of product is the most important thing for Oracle users followed by brand name. For SAP users, the reason for planning to use the same brand in future would be brand name and product quality. Interestingly, PeopleSoft Human Resources users voted for all the four parameters as equally important including after sales and value for money. Users of all Oracle brands will buy the same brand on the basis of brand name and quality of product.

In terms of brand loyalty, mySAP ERP has all its users satisfied to continue to use the same in future, only a meagre 2% might shift out, in large enterprise. Brand loyalty matrix is all the same for Oracle users who are loyal to their existing brand, only 17% users of JD Edwards Enterprise One are likely to move out but not sure which brand to shift out to. Even for Ramco Enterprise Series, all its users are content with their current brand and plan to use the same in future.
