VIA & Simmtronics Launch Green Computing Products

VIA Technologies, and Simmtronics Semiconductors announced a sub-10K rupee SIMM PC and a range of VIA pc-1 mainboards. Combining a slim-sized system featuring a VIA C7-D 1.6GHz processor, 512MB RAM, and 250 GB HDD with a 15.6” LCD monitor with a 15.6” LCD monitor, the Simmtronics SIMM PC is a green PC . Other features include the Ubuntu O/S plus a keyboard and optical mouse. Simmtronics is offering a wide selection of green motherboards featuring a choice of VIA C7 and VIA Nano processors, including the entry-level PC2000E+ green motherboard and the mainstream PC3000E+ and PC3500N green platforms.
