Vivo is prepared to introduce its flagship smartphone series of the upcoming generation in India. The Vivo X100 series will debut in the nation next month, the business has revealed. The Vivo X100 series launch invites have been going out since the business started handing them out.
The business has recently disclosed that on January 4, 2024, it would introduce both smartphones in India. "Schedule a time to observe the next level of imaging and behold xtreme creativity with the all-new Vivo X100 series in India. The invitation states, "Join us for the virtual launch on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at noon." The Chinese manufacturer of smartphones has previously introduced its models in China and is anticipated to do the same in India.
Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro+: Key Details
Both the Vivo X100 variants have identical 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screens with 1260p resolution and variable refresh rates of 1-120Hz. These displays have a maximum brightness of 3000 nits and use 2160 Hz PWM dimming.
Notably, both phones have in-display fingerprint sensors and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera inside the hole. In addition, both models have an IP68 rating, which ensures protection against dust and water. These devices are powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9300 chipset.
The Vivo X100 offers two storage configurations: 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB, while the X100 Pro is only available in a 16GB + 512GB configuration. The X100 Pro stands out with its larger 5,400 mAh battery compared to the 5,000 mAh capacity of the X100.
Charging options differ as the Vivo X100 Pro supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, while the X100 supports 120W wired charging. Both phones come with FunTouchOS 14 protection pre-installed on Android 14.
Camera specifications
The X100 Pro has a 50MP 1-inch IMX989 sensor, a 50M 100mm f/2.5 floating periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP 15mm ultra-wide camera. This camera system is certified by Zeiss APO and harnesses the power of Vivo's new 6nm V3 imaging chip.
On the other hand, the Vivo X100 has a 50-megapixel 1/1.49-inch primary camera, a 64-megapixel 70mm f/2.6 telephoto camera, and the same 50-megapixel 15mm ultra-wide camera that the X100 Pro has. While this camera setup also features Zeiss lenses, it uses the latest generation V2 imaging chip.
