On Monday, the Vivo Y17s was released in India. The smartphone joins the Vivo V17, released in the country in April 2019 and features a MediaTek Helio P35 CPU with a 5,000 battery. The Vivo Y17s features two colour options and two storage configurations and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio SoC. The Vivo Y17s phone has a dual rear camera and an IP54 rating.
Vivo Y17s pricing and availability in India
The 4GB + 64GB edition of the Vivo Y17s costs Rs. 11,499 in India, while the 4GB + 128GB variant costs Rs. 12,499. The Vivo Y17s handset was sold on 2 October and is now available through Amazon, Flipkart, the official Vivo website, and other physical Vivo partner stores. It is available in the colours Forest Green and Glitter Purple.
Specifications of the Vivo Y17s
The Vivo Y17s has a 6.56-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1,612 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. A MediaTek Helio G85 SoC powers the dual nano SIM-compatible smartphone with an Arm Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage; the phone runs Android 13-based FuntouchOS 13.
In terms of cameras, the Vivo Y17s has a 50-megapixel primary rear camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front Camera, positioned in a water drop notch in the centre of the display, has an 8-megapixel sensor.
The Vivo Y17s is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 15W wired fast charging through a USB Type-C connector. In addition, the Vivo Y17s smartphone has 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and FM Radio connectivity. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and an IP54 dust and water resistance rating. Vivo Y17s incorporates a fingerprint sensor on the side for added security.
