According to a statement from WhatsApp, the long-awaited Communities feature for users will now be available. Almost all of the information regarding the long-in-development WhatsApp Communities feature was made available in the beta versions.

In a Facebook post titled "Today, we're introducing Communities on WhatsApp," Mark Zuckerberg announced the debut of WhatsApp Communities. It improves groups by supporting sub-groups, numerous threads, announcement channels, and other features. Additionally, we are introducing surveys and 32-person video calling. All are protected by end-to-end encryption to ensure the privacy of your messages.

How do WhatsApp Communities function?

New WhatsApp capabilities

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, also revealed that users will soon be able to conduct polls with groups that can now have over a thousand participants, in addition to the WhatsApp Communities function. 1024 to be exact.
