This book is meant for the intermediate and advanced level users. The author assumes that the readers are fairly new to the subject of Wireless Web development and as you learn how to build websites for wireless users, you’ll understand the differences between traditional and wireless websites. The book walks you mainly through four steps, namely common concepts of Web application development, creating wireless Web content with WML, programming using PHP and WMLScript and finally, building a real live wireless Web application. It also touches on the basics of using MySQL for the back end. The book is full of examples and code snippets that get your programming hands on expanded as you go. It also tells how to design and optimize the interface to be presentable on today’s phone screens.
