All we know about the Xbox Games Showcase

Corden first hinted at a possible Xbox Games Showcase in December last year. And recently, he confirmed that it would not be a huge event, such as the Xbox Games Showcase, which competes with E3 in terms of game announcements. Instead, fans will receive a new event called Developer Direct, which could be repeated in the coming months. These events would be part of the company's new initiative to highlight games "other than the major E3 and Game Awards marketing beats."

Should the Xbox gamers expect a surprise?

According to Corden, the inaugural Developer Direct will be held on 25 January at 12 pm PT/3 pm ET/8 p.m. GMT on Xbox's official social media, YouTube, and Twitch channels, with exclusives from Arkane, Bethesda, and others. Expect to hear more about Redfall, Forza Motorsport, and other games.

Oreo cookies and Xbox limited edition packs

  • Xbox has also announced a collaboration with the famous cookie brand Oreo to create limited-edition packs with new designs.
  • The new Oreo pack will include six embossed custom cookie designs that have the Xbox controller buttons X, A, B, and Y, as well as a directional arrow and the brand's logo.
  • These Oreos will be available in 22 European countries beginning in January 2023.
  • As part of the cooperation, players may scan the Oreo Xbox Special Edition cookies to get unique in-game goodies.
  • This includes Oreo-themed skins for Xbox games like Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 5, and Halo Infinite.

Participants will also be entered into lucky draws to win "custom Xbox consoles, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate memberships, Oreo hardware and a holiday experience for the entire family."
