Xiaomi launches Redmi 11 Prime, 11 Prime 5G, and A1 smartphones in India

Xiaomi has released its awaited Redmi 11 Prime, Redmi 11 Prime 5G, and Redmi A1 smartphones in India, today. These Redmi smartphones debuted as a part of the ‘Special Diwali With Mi‘ sale and are made in India and for India.

Among these 3 smartphones, Redmi A1 is the most affordable handset and it runs on stock Android out of the box. Meanwhile, the Redmi 11 Prime is a rebranded version of the POCO M5, launched in India yesterday. The Redmi 11 5G features a 22.5W charger inside the box but only supports 18W charging speed.

Redmi 11 Prime 5G

Redmi 11 Prime 5G flaunts a 6.58-inch Full-HD+ LCD panel that supports a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass. Powering the handset is a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. A 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging keeps the lights on, but the phone ships with a 22.5W charger.

Redmi 11 Prime 5G photography is taken care of by a dual rear camera setup: 50MP primary and 2MP depth. There is an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. Redmi 11 Prime 5G runs on Android 12-based MIUI 13 skin out of the box and supports IP52 water and dust resistance. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and an IR blaster.

Redmi A1 sports a 6.52-inch display that supports 1,600×720 pixels HD+ resolution. A 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support fuels the device, and a MediaTek Helio A22 processor is at the helm of the Redmi A1. It packs 2GB RAM with 32GB storage, further expandable up to 1TB.

Redmi A1 comes with a dual rear camera setup: 8MP primary lens and an Auxiliary sensor. It has a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls, housed in a waterdrop notch at the front. It boots stock Android 12 OS out of the box.

Redmi 11 Prime price in India is Rs 12,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant and Rs 14,999 for the 6GB/128GB option. It comes in three colour options: Flashy Black, Playful Green, and Peppy Purple whereas Redmi 11 Prime 5G retails at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB/64GB model and Rs 15,999 for the 6GB/128GB unit. It is available in three colourways, Meadow Green, Chrome Sliver, and Thunder Black.

Further, Redmi A1 launches at a price of Rs 6,499 price tag and comes in Black, Blue, and Green colour options.
