Mi3 boasts a 5-inch 1080p IPS display, a 13-megapixel rear shooter with Sony BSI sensor and a f/2.2 aperture and a dual-LED flash by Philips. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz and 2GB of RAM. The phone runs on Android 4.3 jelly bean with Xiaomi's proprietary MIUI skin on top.

The 8.1mm thick phone is built with aluminium-magnesium alloy and weighs 145gram. A 3,050mAh battery is provided to power up the phone and Xiaomi claims that the smartphone can deliver talk time of up to 21 hours on 3G networks. It packs 16GB internal storage, but does not support storage expansion via microSD cards.

At this price point Mi3 will be a tough competitor for phones like Moto G and Blackberry Z3 which lags far behind in the race of specifications. The smartphone is listed on company's India website but will be available for sale on July 15.
