Powered by 3GB or 4GB RAM, the smartphone is expected to come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with 32GB or 64GB internal memory, respectively. There are also rumours that the company might also launch a 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of storage.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 will pack a huge 4,800mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 support for fast charging. While, the approximate price for the base variant of the Redmi Note 7 could be Rs 9,999, the top-end variant might cost Rs 11,999, media reported.

Earlier, Xiaomi’s General Manager Lu Weibing has shared a Weibo post of him and other Redmi team members in the Shenzhen R&D facility mentioning the upcoming Redmi Note 7 Pro and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 flagship.

In January, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has announced to make Redmi an independent brand. The upcoming Qualcomm phone clearly indicates Redmi moving forward from just a ‘budget’ brand to focus on high-end smartphones.

Last year in November, Xiaomi reported a 49.1 per cent increase in revenue in the third quarter of 2018, as the net profit totalled 2.48 billion yuan ($357.23 million). The company’s smartphone shipments in India grew a healthy 31 per cent, helping the brand reach top spot in India in terms of market share.
