Zebronics 8400 GS Graphics Card

New Update

Zebronics 8400 GS is the youngest amongst the 8-series of cards from NVIDIA.

The card comes with a 64-bit memory bus, unlike the GeForce 8600 and 8500

series, which support 128-bit. This does result in a noticeable performance

difference, but it's not far behind when it comes to features. It also boasts of

HD DVD/Blu-ray support, apart from HDTV and SLI.

As it's not a high-end gaming card don't expect excellent performance at high
resolutions. We first tested it at 1280x1024 resolution, and it scored 1621

3DMarks, and only 17 fps in FEAR. But when we tested it at medium setting (at

1024x 768 resolution), the frame rate jumped to 78 fps, which further improved

to 116 fps at 800x600 resolution.

In Doom 3 however, for some strange reason, it couldn't perk-up itself, even at
lower resolutions, giving only 4.3 fps even at 1024x768 resolution. Even in

games like Pray and Half life 2 Episode 1, it performed better at lower settings

than at max setting.

This card may gain some attention from occasional gamers who want to leverage
the full benefit of Windows Vista, along with Pure Video technology from NVIDIA.
