Zync Pad Z999 is Android 2.2 (Froyo) based tablet powered by 800 MHz Snapdragon processor with 512 MB RAM. It has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch support. It has Wi-Fi connectivity, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a micro USB port at the bottom when held vertically. It also has a micro SD card and a SIM slot. It supports POP-3 and has a G sensor. The tablet has a front facing and rear camera. The rear camera is 2.0 MP while the one at front is 0.3 MP with auto focus but with a decent quality. Weighing at 380 gms, this tablet has a battery of 4200 mAh which can last upto 7 hours. We tried to run some applications and also tried to play some games and it worked perfectly fine as we did not see any kind of lag. It scored 1562 in the AnTuTu benchmark which is below the score obtained by Zync 990 that scored 2264. Another benchmark that we ran was the Quadrant Standard Edition. In this benchmark it scored 619 which is again less than Zync 990 which scored an impressive 1144.
Bottomline: Though this tablet is a decent performer, but if you need 1 GB RAM and the latest Android OS, then look for Zync Z990.
