The Z919 is one of the three latest tablets launched by Zync. The Z919 weighs 380 gms with good build quality which makes it easy for portable usage. The one glaring let down for the tablet is the fact that it still uses a 7-inch TFT resistive touchscreen which simply does not stand up to the capacitive-touch displays from the competition and even a couple of other tablets from Zync, which have capacitive displays. Apart from the screen, the Z919 has more than decent hardware specs. The processor billed at 1.2 GHz is particularly impressive for the meagre price of the tablet. Z919 also has 4 GB internal storage and 512 MB RAM. The 3600 mAh battery is not particularly impressive and is on the lower side as compared with other tabs in contention. The charger used to juice up the tablet is proprietary. The tablet uses Android 2.3 Gingerbread which responds well to the capacitive display and the resistive touch may again prove to be a hindrance for the same. One finds a mismatch in terms of the offerings from the tablet vendor as on one side you have good specs at an astonishing price while on the other hand the outdated resistive display kind of explains how the vendor had to compromise while giving the tablet some goodies worth considering.

Bottomline: A well spec'd tablet that's

good overall except for the outdated

resistive display.
