Like Cyberoam, this UTM also provides stateful packet inspection, which
means, the content of the packet is scanned along with the header. The
uniqueness of this device is that, for anti-virus scanning it provides two
different options: first is its own engine and second is kaspersky engine. It is
basically targeted to small office environment, ideally an office of 50 people.
It has one PCMCIA slot where you can plug in wireless card to add up wireless
capabilities. The card was not shipped to us, so we couldn't test it. Compared
to USG 300, it has larger database of virus (when tested). Hence it can be used
as first line of defense for small office.

In the tests, it performed well as compared to others. In the anti-virus
test, it blocked 87% of viruses but in blocking the macro virus, it didn't
perform well as compared to Cyberoam. In the anti-spam test, it again could not
perform well. We tried blocking the port and it was successfully jammed. We ran
arpspoof which it didn't detect but dos attack and port scanning was detected.
Bottomline: If you want to deploy an UTM at your branch office with
small workgroup, then this is a good buy.
