The UTM is meant for small and mid-sized enterprises. Like cyberoam UTM this
device provides high availability which makes it ideal to deploy in mission
critical systems. It also provides bandwidth management, with which you can
prioritize your traffic, allocate bandwidth, etc. Unlike the USG 200, it doesn't
have anti-spam built into it. Compared to USG 200, it has fewer virus
signatures. In our tests, it performed well compared to others. Initially we
tested it for its anti-virus capabilities. It didn't block most of the viruses,
especially the macro viruses.

But it blocked all the live or active viruses which we had. Like all the UTMs
in the shootout, it blocked the eicar test virus also. It consists of 3200 virus
signatures whereas, the USG 200 consists of 8200. The concept behind it is to
increase the performance of the device. Next we tried the port jamming attack
which was successfull. Then we tried the Arpspoof attack which this device
failed to detect. Also the device successfully detected and logged the DOS
attack and port scanning.
Bottomline: This device is good in case you already have desktop level
protection to take care of old viruses and spam.
