In a recent tweet by Xiaomi about the MI notebook it was revealed that the processor of choice is going to be the Intel i7 10th generation. This comes in with just days left for the official launch of the laptop. The Mi notebook by Xiaomi is going to be launched on 11th June in the Indian market. Xiaomi has said that the laptop is designed exclusively for the Indian market. Xiaomi is advertising the laptop as a thin and lightweight option for the users. This is the first laptop by Xiaomi that is being launched in India. Xiaomi has been selling laptops in the Chinese market for years now and it was high time that the Indian market also got a laptop by the tech company.

From the tweets that we have seen on Xiaomi’s twitter handle and on Manu Jain Twitter handle, we know that the Mi notebook is a slim and lightweight laptop with extremely thin bezels. The laptop is going to have an SSD storage option and DTS surround sound as well. The keyboard of the Mi notebook looks like it has a chicklet style keyboard and the screen has a high probability of being an IPS screen with good color accuracy. When it comes to the looks department it seems that the Mi notebook is going for a minimalist look and a unibody design look. We don’t know if the laptop will have a unibody chassis but if it does then that will make the price really high. Xiaomi is claiming that the Mi notebook will give excellent battery life but we don’t know yet what the battery performance of the laptop is going to be. When it comes to the dedicated graphics we still have no word from Xiaomi. Most of the laptops that have the Intel i7 processor with a focus towards productivity have MX250 by Nvidia which is GPU that can handle normal tasks but not intensive tasks that require a lot of GPU power.

At the moment we don’t think there is an AMD ryzen variant of Mi notebook in development but if the laptop is successful then we might see a redmi laptop running on AMD. Xiaomi is betting a lot on this laptop and pulling all the stops. The specifications on the Mi notebook are some of the best in the market.
