Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Datamine reveals box art and bundle details

Activision’s reboot of the Modern Warfare series with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has proven to be quite successful. Their Battle Royale version for the game, Warzone crossed the 30 million players mark in just 10 days after release. Needless to say, people are now waiting for their long rumoured Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. The game is all but confirmed, even though Activision hasn’t officially announced it yet. 

Now, rather than a question of if, it is now a question of when. In a new Datamine, a Reddit user has found the new box art for Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. It looks like the old one, except for the words “Campaign Remastered”.

Now there are two things to note here. The user claims to have found it in the update for Modern Warfare. It is possible that the game will be released like Warzone was released. That means it could be a standalone game, except with common menus where you would be required to ‘unlock’ the game. The same way people who have downloaded Warzone but do not own Modern Warfare are required to ‘unlock’ Modern Warfare.  

Another thing to note is that the box art says ‘Campaign Remastered.’ This we might not be seeing multiplayer mode, at least on release. 

The Reddit user also datamined more assets, which seem to point out that the game will also be available with a bundle, Ghost Pack: Oil Rig which will give you 10,000 CP and Ghost Skin with operator quips and emblems and a finishing move.
