Here are 2020 BAFTA Games Awards winners

BAFTA Games awards are one of the most prestigious awards when it comes to gaming. The 2020 BAFTA Games awards took place yesterday and was the first ceremony to be only live streamed.  

This year’s Best Game Award was given to ‘The Outer World’ or as I like to call it, The Space Ground Hog Day game. Another Indie game that made a big splash was Disco Elysium, which grabbed the Best Debut award. 

Control and Death Stranding kind of got snubbed. Both had 11 nominations but took home only one award. Here are all the winners of the 2020 BAFTA Games Awards: 

Best Original Property: Outer Wilds 

Nominated: Baba Is You, Control, Death Stranding, Disco Elysium, Untitled Goose Game 

Best Music: Disco Elysium 

Nominated: Control, Death Stranding, Outer Wilds, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Wattam 

Best Evolving Game: Path of Exile 

Nominated: Apex Legends, Destiny 2, Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, Fortnite, No Man's Sky Beyond 

Best Debut Game: Disco Elysium

Best Family Game: Untitled Goose Game 

Nominated: Concrete Genie, Knights and Bikes, Luigi's Mansion 3, Vacation Simulator, Wattam 

Best Game Design: Outer Wilds

EE Mobile Game of the Year (public vote): Call of Duty: Mobile

Best Animation: Luigi's Mansion 3

Best Narrative: Disco Elysium

Game Beyond Entertainment: Kind Words (lo-fi chill beats to write to)

Best Performer in a Supporting Role: Martti Suosalo (Ahti, Control)
