In the wake of the ongoing protests going on in the United States, Activision the publisher of the famous Call of Duty game series has decided to delay the release of Call of Duty Mobile season 7 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare Season 4 indefinitely.

Activision said in a statement that now is the time to allow those fighting against injustice across the US to “be seen and heard.”

“While we all look forward to playing the new seasons of Modern Warfare, Warzone and Call of Duty: Mobile, now is not the time. We are moving the launches of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to later dates. Right now it’s time for those speaking up for equality, justice and change to be seen and heard. We stand alongside you,” Activision’s statement reads.

The new season of Call of Duty Mobile was supposed to be released in the latter part of the week but as things stand Activision won’t be releasing Season 7.

All this comes in the wake of protests against the killing of George Floyd and police brutality in America. Many other tech companies have also postponed their releases and product launches with Google postponing the release of Android 11 to show solidarity with the protesters.

What to Expect in Season 7 of Call of Duty Mobile?

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 is called Radioactive Agent with new outfits and weapon skins that reflect the new season. The new update also expands the battle royale map of the game with new areas along the north and north-eastern borders of the map.

Call of Duty: Mobile recently announced it will soon be incorporating the PC game Warzone’s Gulag. It will let the players on the battlefield who lose their lives in a fight to revive themselves when they die on the battlefield. The dead players will be redeployed in the warzone where they will take part in a 1v1 battle.

Some of these new areas are covered with snow, with more urban locations to the west. New locations include to name but a few, SkiTown, Harbor, Sanatarium and Sun. A short teaser video for the new locations has also been released by the developers and Sanatarium appears to be a very interesting spot, opening up opportunities for indoor close-quarters fighting.

The developers have also proposed making available in multiplayer mode the Nova-6 lethal gas grenade used in Battle Royale.
