Amateur Photographers Have Something To Cheer About, As Sony Has Launched 4D Focus Cameras

Don't be confused with the term 4D, you are not going to capture images 4 dimensions, it's about 4D Focus, which is an AF system that blankets the scene with a wide coverage area and can rapidly focus on subjects while predicting their movements over time. This system attempts to lock the subject and predict its movements based on its position in 3D space and its speed. If another subject comes in between, the system will attempt to ignore the new subject and stay locked onto the one you’re tracking.

Sony brings the 4D focus feature in its new A68 (ILCA-68), enabling photographers to capture images in a more precise manner with Sony’s collection of A-mount lenses. The A68 can easily focus in any shooting conditions ranging from lighting as low as EV-2.

This phase detection system uses 79 autofocus detection points including 15 cross points, plus a dedicated F2.8 AF sensor point for dimly-lit scenes. It all adds up to fast, wide area AF with predictive tracking that locks faithfully onto fast-moving subjects. And thanks to Sony’s  Translucent Mirror Technology, the A68 delivers constant AF tracking at up to 8fpsii continuous shooting.

It boasts 24MP iii APS-C Exmor CMOS image sensor with wide ISO 100-25600iv sensitivity range. It’s teamed with Sony’s speedy BIONZ X image processor to deliver detailed shots every time.

Framing stills and movies is a pleasure through the clear, bright OLED Tru-Finder. And hosts 2.7-inch LCD monitor that can tilts up to 135 degrees upwards or 55 degrees downwards for comfortable composition from a wide variety of shooting angles.

Special colour tune-up for Wedding shooting is applied to A68. You can choose these colour options from creative style (Portrait / Vivid). This function enables you shooting Wedding with attractive colour even JPEG mode.

18-135mm Wide Focal-length coverage Zoom Lens (SAL18135) bundle kit for Wedding. Multi coverage lens will support you to cover from Wide-Angle to Tele-Zoom during shooting without changing lens frequently.

The inclusion of a Multi Interface Shoe and Multi Terminal lets you expand creative options further with a wide range of optional accessories, including flashes, lights, microphones and remote commanders.
