Aorus India to hold free online tournaments to promote Coronavirus awareness

In an attempt to increase the awareness amongst gamers, Aorus India has decided to hold online tournaments as a part of their ‘Team up, Fight Corona’ event.

The Indian Govt has announced a lockdown amidst the Coronavirus Pandemic taking hold in the country. But as we can see in the news and social media, many people, who are not a part of the essential services, have been flouting the lockdown. In an attempt to increase the awareness amongst gamers, Aorus India has decided to hold online tournaments as a part of their ‘Team up, Fight Corona’ event.

Aorus said in a  press release that the motive of the campaign is to address the most important aspect of curtailing the spread of the novel virus, self isolation. 

The gaming brand from Gigabyte will be holding the following online tournaments as a part of their ‘Team up, Fight Corona’ event: 

⦁    Online CS:GO tournament in association with Seagate – 28th & 29th March 2020

⦁    Online Rocket League tournament – 3rd & 4th April  

⦁    Online Rainbow 6 Siege tournament – 4th & 5th April  

⦁    Online Apex legends tournament – 11th April

⦁    Online PUBG PC Lite tournament – 10th, 11th, 12th April 

There will also be an invitational PUBG tournament where popular streamers like Gareebooo, Ankita C, RakazoneShreeman Legend Live, Rakazone and Mysterious YT will be competing and stream the event live on their own channels. The aim is to raise money to fight against the pandemic. Aorus India will donate Rs 1,00,000 to the cause as well. 

Sashank Bhandaru, Marketing Manager, Aorus said, “We are thinking ahead and making sure we have the best plans in place to help protect our community as their health and safety is our number one priority. This time around we need to come together as a community but virtually. And precisely that is the objective of conducting the online event to keep the youngsters’ energies channelized while they are at home during this lock down.
