Apex Legends is getting a new map

For weeks now there have been rumours regarding a new map coming to season 3 of Apex Legends. But now we finally have some hard proof. Respawn has dropped a trailer that shows Apex Legends will indeed be getting a brand new map. 

The new map is called World’s Edge and it is on a different planet entirely. Which means that the map will have a lot of major changes when compared to the current map, King’s Canyon. World’s Edge will have two main kinds of terrains, one type full of ice and the other with lava. The trailer also shows a train, which seems like would be a prime spot for rare loot, much like the dropships in King’s Canyon. You can expect players flocking to the train and getting involved in intense firefights. It is not known whether there will only be one train or multiple trains like multiple dropships in the King’s Canyon.     



The trailer also shows a large piece of equipment covered in icy shards right between a crater. We can see a few buildings in the background. Another interesting thing shown in the trailer is a geothermal geyser, which I'm pretty sure will propel players high up into the air, much like the balloons in King’s Canyon. It also seems like environmental hazards will be a real thing in the new map. Falling into the molten lava will probably do some damage, or might instantly kill you (I am thinking it will be the former). 

The new season is named Meltdown and will go live on October 1st. With the new season will come a new battlepass, and a new hero, Crypto. You can also expect the new season to have new weapons and new improvements to battlepass, after the poor reception of the previous one.
