Apple Has Announced the MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max CPU, with Prices Beginning at Rs 2,49,900

Apple on Tuesday announced the release of new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max SoCs (systems on a chip), which were also released simultaneously.

What to expect from the MacBook Pro?

MacBook Pro is six times faster than the previous Intel-based MacBook Pro and has a battery life of up to 22 hours – the most incredible battery life ever in a Mac. Wi-Fi 6E connection, HDMI compatibility for 8K monitors up to 60Hz, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an SDXC card slot,4K displays up to 240Hz, MagSafe 3 charging and SDXC card slot are all included.

Specifications and features

• The M2 Max variant comes with up to 96 GB of unified memory, Apple's Liquid Retina XDR display, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, a six-speaker sound system, and studio-quality microphones.
• The MacBook Pro with M2 Pro has a 10- or 12-core CPU with up to four high-efficiency cores and eight high-performance, providing up to 20% more performance than the M1 Pro.
• The MacBook Pro with M2 Pro has a 10- or 12-core CPU with up to four high-efficiency cores and eight high-performance, providing up to 20% more performance than the M1 Pro.
• It also features 200GB/s of unified memory bandwidth, double that of the M2, and up to 32GB of suitable memory.
• Apple also says that the new GPU with up to 19 cores may give up to 30 percent higher graphics performance, while the Neural Engine is supposed to be 40 percent quicker.
• MacBook Pro with M2 Max boasts a substantially bigger GPU with up to 38 cores and also supports 400GB/s of unified memory bandwidth – double that of M2 Pro.
• The new MacBook Pro models with M2 Max and M2 Pro are now available for pre-order and will begin shipping to consumers on 24 January.

The new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro costs Rs 2,49,900, while the 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro costs Rs 2,69,900. The 14-inch M2 Max MacBook Pro costs Rs 3,09,900, while the 16-inch variant costs Rs 3,49,900. HDFC credit card members might also get a Rs 6,000 cashback on their purchases.
