This step taken was pressed upon by two shareholders of Apple in an open letter. Where they asked the tech giant to take actions because the smartphone addiction posed as a “growing public health crisis” for the younger generation.

Apple has a new page on its website and it would gather details about the organization’s family features and parental controls in one spot.

The new page on the website would have features like an Ask To Buy tool. It will allow the parents to agree or refuse on app buying from the device used by the child. There would be an app management element to give the consumer - automatic block in-app purchases.

Also, parents would be able to bound the adult content on their child’s device. Along with putting a limit on browsing to only already approved websites. Moreover, Apple’s feature - Find My Friends will also assist in monitoring the locations if the child comes or goes somewhere.

Apple said that they will continually design new features to assist and make sure kids use them in the ways parents would want. The tech giant also added functions including health, privacy and family sharing options and gets all of its security and privacy features to one page.
