It seems that Apple is not going to leave 2020 without a bang. After launching a slew of new generation devices this year the tech giant has already planned what it is going to bring in 2021. In a report that was seen on Digitimes, Apple is going to be launching its new iPad Pro 12.9 inch in the first quarter of the next year. That means we will be seeing the new iPad Pro with Mini LED display probably in the first four months of 2021. MacRumors another trusted source for all things Apple confirmed the same.
GIS approved investments of NT$2.198 billion (US$76.3 million) and NT$1.421 billion proposed by its subsidiary in Chengdu, China in August and November 2020 respectively, with the funds to focus on expanding production capacity for integrated touch modules used in tablets, the sources said. The subsidiary will invest another NT$753 million to improve production line automation. The subsidiary currently produces integrated touch modules for iPads and MacBooks, the sources said.
Besides iPhones, GIS will produce integrated touch modules for Mini LED-backlit panels of 12.9-inch iPad Pro to be launched in first-quarter 2021, the sources noted.

The report also mentions how Apple is going to diversify its supply chain to help with the manufacturing process. Now BOE will be supplying the OLED panels for the iPhone and GIS will be providing touch panels for both the iPhone and the upcoming iPad Pro. Rumours have been surrounding the upcoming 12.9-inch iPad Pro as they do with any product of Apple. Most of the rumours suggest that the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro will have much superior display panel than what we have seen till now from the company.
That's not all. There are also rumours that suggest that the next-generation iPad Pro might come with an OLED panel. That probably will remain a rumour for the time being. With this new report we can confidently say that the next-generation iPad Pro is coming soon and before April 2021.
