According to the media reports, WWDC 2019 will have a lot of focus on the iOS 13 which aims to bring big changes in the design of the user interface of iPads and iPhones. iOS 13 will also bring a dark mode with this latest update. The feature can be turned on from the Control Centre. Taking inspiration from Google’s Swiftkey board, Apple could also bring a new swipe keyboard allowing user to compose texts by swiping fingers across keys.

Apple could also include a new profile setting for iMessage similar to WhatsApp that will allow user set a display photo and display name.  There could also be a ‘sleep mode’ function that will in tandem with the Bedtime function in the Clocks app, turning on Do Not Disturb, darkening the lock screen and muting notifications from the Control Centre.

WatchOS 6 will bring support for Apple Podcasts and improved audio APIs for third-party apps. There is also a possibility that third-party apps could get access to LTE streaming. Apple is also said to be working on new health apps such as ‘Dose’ app to remind people for taking pills and a ‘Cycles’ app for tracking menstrual cycles.

At the WWDC 2019, Apple will also introduce macOS 10.15 which is expected to come with a new universal apps feature, that first arrived in macOS Mojave and iOS 12, and will now expand to developers in iOS 13 and macOS 10.15. With the universal app feature, Apple wants developers to design a single app in a way that it seamlessly works as either a touchscreen or a mouse and trackpad, whether a user is running on iOS or macOS. The company could also introduce new Music, Podcasts, and Books apps in macOS 10.15.
