A couple of days ago, Valve announced that they would be sending out closed beta invites for their Artifact reboot next week. Unfortunately, invites will only be randomized from the people who bought the original game before March 30, 2020. And now ahead of the Beta’s release, Valve has released a gameplay video of Artifact 2.0.

In this 8 minute video, narrated by Eric Tams, Team Lead for Artifact 2.0, we see changes to the game right off the bat. Tams and his coworker Q play a match of Hero Draft and show us all the new changes. For example, the board is reworked, but Tams says they are working on a 3D board for the game. We also see a Courier card which is a new addition to the game. As the game is still work in progress, there is a lot of placeholder art as well.

In the Hero Draft mode in, you select 5 heroes as you would in a standard game of Dota 2, the drafting stage is the same as Dota 2 as well. They have also taken inspiration from Dota Underlords when it comes to buying items.

Here is the whole gameplay video
