ROG is the Asus gaming division under which Asus has been selling high-performance gaming products like laptops, desktops, Graphics cards, and phones. The first ROG phone was a product that started a revolution in the smartphone market. For the first time, there was a dedicated gaming phone that you could properly game on like a professional with high-end specifications and tons of accessories to make your gaming experience more amazing than ever. The ROG Phone 1 started a whole slew of gaming smartphones in the market with Xiaomi launching the black shark and now almost every mid-range smartphone has a dedicated gaming mode.

Even today the ROG line of gaming smartphones remains a popular choice among gaming enthusiasts with mobile e-sports players using the ROG phones to compete in tournaments. Now it seems that there is a new Asus ROG phone coming and it’s the high time since the ROG Phone 2 now needs to retire.

Geekbench is a cross-platform benchmarking tool used to measure the performance of any device and recently it showed something rather interesting. An unknown device of Asus with the code I003DD showed up on Geekbench last month with 8GB of RAM and Snapdragon 865 processor and now there has been another device with the same processor and 12GB of RAM that showed up with the code I003D. These two devices are believed to be the new ROG Phone 3 with 8GB and 12GB RAM variants. Both devices are running on Android 10.0 at the time of this leak. The Geekbench leak didn’t show any other specifications but if this is the ROG Phone 3 then they will have top of the line hardware.

There has been no official word or announcement by Asus regarding the ROG Phone 3 but reports coming out of Taiwan indicate that the smartphone can come around July which does make sense since the ROG Phone 2 was also released last year around July. We hope to get our hands on the device as soon as it drops in India.
