The rumours about the latest Batman game started flying in September this year when Warner Brothers Tweeted out a cryptic video on The Caped Crusader's anniversary. Many expected that the game would be officially announced at the next gaming event at the time, Sony’s State of Play, but that did not happen. Now there are reports that Arkham Legacy might be revealed at The Video Games Awards.

The report comes from Slcmof, a YouTuber. Slcmof had earlier Tweeted about the affair, and then later uploaded a detailed video on why he believes that the game will be revealed at The Video Games Awards. He said that apart from the various tweets from different Twitter handles, including Sabi, who had leaked the title of the game earlier, talked to an industry insider, someone who had worked for Gameinformer and was one of the “top guys in Europe in the industry” called Gabe. He said that even though Gabe was not 100% sure, he had confirmed that Gabe had heard the same reports from various different sources; sources who were different from Slcmof’s. The reason Slcmof trusts him is that Gabe had shown him the screenshots of the cancelled Damien Wayne game years before a few of them were leaked online. You can watch the whole video below.

Even though The Game Awards is technically an awards ceremony, in recent years, many developers have revealed their big games at the show. Last year, RAGE 2 and the upcoming Dragon Age game was revealed. The unveiling of Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding also took place at The Game Awards, which is produced by Geoff Keighley who is close to Kojima.

In other news, the nominations for The Video Game Awards were revealed this month. The ceremony takes place on December 12th next month.
