Intel Core i3 10100F

The most budget-friendly and latest offering from Intel, the 10100F can be a very good option for people who are on a very tight budget. This processor is available for around INR 9,000-9,500 in the offline markets. The price does not see much difference when compared to the online prices. A lot of people might think why not AMD Ryzen 3 3100?  The reason behind that is the price. There is at least a difference of INR 1000 between the two processors. When the price to performance ratio is considered, the Intel processor takes the upper hand. The Intel Core i3 10100F can deliver a gaming performance close to the AMD Ryzen 3 3300X. The FPS difference might range from 5-10% in favour of Ryzen but the price does not justify this edge. Paying an extra INR 3,000-4,000 for 10% more performance does not make sense. If your focal points are gaming and light editing, this processor is the one for you on a budget of less than INR 10K.

Going slightly higher on the budget range, the Intel Core i5 10400F is a contemporary option to the AMD Ryzen 5 3500. Both processors are hexa-core and deliver similar performance. One major distinguishing factor is that the AMD processor is unlocked and supports higher frequency RAM, whereas the Intel processor does not. Even after all of this, the Intel processor has a much higher availability in the market than the AMD processor. It costs around INR 10-12K, which is good for a hexa-core CPU. It is very good for gaming and editing. If you manage to pair a good GPU with it, you can also stream at 1080p with this CPU. The availability of 6 threads really helps with a smooth streaming experience. One thing that you need to keep in mind before going for this processor is that it does not have support for higher frequency RAM. It only supports RAM with a 2666mHz frequency. The processor is also locked, meaning that it can not be overclocked in any way.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600

There is a constant debate between the Ryzen 5 3500 and 3600. Cutting the debate short, the Ryzen 5 3600 delivers more power. There is no task out there that can not be performed with the help of this CPU. The processor can game at 1080P, edit in 4K and stream at 1080P without breaking a sweat. Prices of the processor are slightly on the higher side right now, but it is still a very good purchase. It is an unlocked processor, which allows users to overclock it to juice out a little more performance. Topping it, the processor also has support for higher frequency RAM and supports RAM of 3200mHz.

These are the processors that you should consider if you are building a budget PC. These will deliver a good performance and justify their prices with their performance.
