Bluestacks was and still is the Android emulator of choice for many users who are using the android emulators for the first time. If there is someone who is using an android emulator for the first time then I would always recommend bluestacks. Bluestacks gained popularity in India during the time when Clash of Clans was booming as the preferred game of choice just like PUBG Mobile today. Even in those days, you could run multiple Clash of Clans profiles simultaneously.

So what made bluestacks so special?

For starters, the android emulator was easy to use and set up. The clean and easy to use UI and tons of tutorial videos made it easy to understand how to set up bluestacks. Just like on an android device all you had to do was login using your Google account and start using it. The apps are downloaded from the playstore and there is barely any learning curve involved in using the android emulator. When compared to other android emulators like Memu or LD player Bluestacks is not that great but both of those android emulators need a learning curve which may be too much for the technically challenged users but Bluestacks is easy. I have used bluestacks to run my virtual android machine for almost a week.

  • Garena Free Fire
  • Call of Duty Mobile

  • Ludo King
  • Asphalt 9

Bluestacks Call of Duty Mobile COD CODM

The tests were done on Asus Laptop

  • Ryzen 5
  • Vega Graphics
  • 8GB Ram
  • 1TB HDD

In the tests, I was running on Blue stacks most of the apps performed fine with not a lot of issues but there was a problem with games. PUBG Mobile gave a lot of hiccups along the way when compared to android emulators like MEMU or LD Player. Garena Free Fire ran fine but wasn’t the best I have seen. Same went for Call of duty mobile. While Asphalt 9, Ludo King and others were doing great. So if you have a budget to low-end laptop or PC then Bluestacks is not for you.

From what I gather Bluestacks will run great on a PC with:

  • Intel i3 or i5 / Ryzen 5
  • 8GB Ram
  • GTX 750ti or above
  • Windows 10
  • 1TB of Storage

Bluestacks Free Fire

Verdict:

Blue stacks is still one of the better options when it comes to android emulators. Being the oldest has definitely helped in this regard. For someone who is new in the world of android emulators bluestacks is a great option but there are many other better alternatives out there. LD Player is better for playing games like Free Fire or PUBG Mobile. MEMU Android emulator has a better overall performance. But bluestacks is still a great option that you should try.
