Mobile esports is on the rise. Currently, PUBG Mobile and Free Fire are two of the biggest mobile esports, both in terms of money and fan following. Another popular mobile game is Brawl Stars, which has its own esports scene but in terms of prize money, it pales in comparison to the former two games. That might soon change with the announcement of Brawl Stars Championship 2020.
The Brawl Stars World Championship 2019 had a prize pool of $250,000, but with the partnership with ESL, Supercell has announced that this year’s Brawl Star Championships World Finals will have a prize pool of $1 million, which is expected to increase by $500,000 through crowdfunding.
This championship will be open for all and the run up to the world finals have already begun. Online qualifiers for 5 regions have already begun. The first stage is known as the Championship Challenge, from where the players will advance to Regional Qualifiers.
