The backup and recovery processes

Backups are something that no one wants to spend a significant amount of time worrying about, but as the last line of defence for customers, it’s extremely important to make sure your backups are accurate and up-to-date. We help customers simplify backups and respond to threats and regulatory compliance with ransomware-proof backups, anomaly detection, and data governance. We also assist in mobilizing customer data to the cloud and accelerate their move away from on-premise infrastructure.

Additionally, our competitive edge lies in the fact that all applications and data ingested by Rubrik are stored in an immutable manner. Once ingested, no external or internal operation can modify the data. Data managed by Rubrik is never available in a Read/Write state to the client. This is true even during a restore or Live Mount operation. Since data cannot be overwritten, even infected data later ingested by Rubrik cannot infect other existing files or folders.

Dealing with unstructured data

Businesses are currently experiencing a massive rise in unstructured data. Today, some 80% of global enterprise data is driven from unstructured data through text files, emails, social media, digital images, instant messages, sensor data, and more.
