CoD Mobile season 2 brings controller support; here is how to enable it

Season 2 of Call of Duty mobile has finally hit the main servers. The biggest feature in CoD Mobile season 2 has to be the comeback of controller support. The devs had earlier removed the support from the game, which made the fans angry. But it had certain problems, including unfair advantage for players who used controllers in matchmaking.  

But this time around player using controllers will only be matched against other players using controllers. This also applies even if only 1 person in your team is using a controller. For now, only the PS4 DUALSHOCK controllers and the Xbox One controllers are supported. The first gen PS4 controllers, however, are not supported. Also, the controllers will only work in-game and not in the menu. Here is how to enable the controllers: 

For iOS: 

You will need iOS 11 for this to work. First, head over to settings and turn on bluetooth. For connecting PS4 controllers, press the PS4 and ‘Share’ button on the controller simultaneously until the light flashes. For Xbox One controller, press the Xbox button and ‘Sync’ simultaneously. A dialogue box will appear on your iOS device with the option to connect.  

After this go to launch CoD Mobile and go to settings. Tap Controller and enable ‘Controller Support’. 

For Android: 

Before we go into it, the support for controller in CoD Mobile for android still has a few issues. They mostly occur with the PS4 controller. The CoD dev team says that they are still working on it and will release patches to update it. 

To connect your controller to android device, go to settings and open the Bluetooth menu. Turn Bluetooth on, and make your controller findable as described above. Once it connects, if the option shows up, tap ‘Pair’ on your android device. 

Next, launch CoD mobile and repeat the same steps as above.
