CoD mobile World Championship

Call of Duty: Mobile is one of the most played Battle Royales and mobile games so far. Even though it had reached 100 million downloads in just about a week, it did not have any esports scene. But that will change with Activision’s CoD Mobile World Championship 2020.

This tournament will have a $ 1 million prize pool and will be the first Call of Duty: Mobile esports tournament of this scale.

Anyone who has a rank of Veteran will be able or higher will be able to participate in the tournament. Stage 1 will begin on April 30th and be held every weekend for four weekends until May 24th. Here is how it will work:

For each of the four weekends, once you click “Sign Up” in game, the tournament will go live and the first ten ranked matches you play will earn you tournament points. Tournament points are based on individual wins and your current rank; the higher your rank the more points you receive for a win. If you reach 80 points within the first ten ranked matches in any weekend you qualify on to Stage 2. Players must compete on an eligible handset and may not use an external device or attachment of any kind that modifies the game's controls (e.g. bluetooth controllers, wired controllers, mouse, keyboard, etc.) without the express consent of the Administration. Players may not compete using any desktop emulator. The Administration reserves the right to investigate any Player deemed in violation. Players who are found to be in violation may be disqualified from participating in any future Call of Duty® Mobile tournaments.

Players will be given in game prizes for the progression they make. If they reach 80 points and qualify for Stage 2, they will get an additional reward. Before the start of Stage 2, players will have to find their own teams with players who have qualified. Further details regarding Stage 2 are awaited.
