An AI tool will be able to summarize the conversation and allow users to quickly jump back to portions of the message thread to catch up on the discussion if they have been away from Discord and missed a stream of messages. According to the company, a limited number of Discord groups will begin using the tool next week.
Additionally, Discord stated that it will experiment with OpenAI technology to enhance a preexisting content moderation tool that aids in the automatic removal of undesirable or harmful messages from a Discord chat. According to the company, the updated tool can recognize the context of the conversation and flag messages for moderators.
